Marek Hoščálek
Partner
Together with Radim, Marek was a founding partner of Genesis Capital fund manager in 2001. In 2019, he co-founded Stratum Partners (originally Genesis Growth) with Jiri and Radim. He has originated, evaluated, structured, and executed numerous investments and divestments with full decision-making responsibility.
Experience
Marek has served as a member of the investment committee in all Genesis Capital funds over the past 25 years. Prior to Genesis Capital, Marek worked at the Czech branch of HSBC Investment Services and at a privatization fund during the transformation of the Czech economy.
Edu
Marek holds a Master’s degree in Mathematical analysis from the Charles University, Faculty of Mathematics and Physics. He holds a broker’s license from the Prague Stock Exchange. He is a native Czech speaker and fluent in English.
Leisure
Outside of work, Marek plays volleyball, cycles, hikes, practices taiji, and he is an average but passionate golfer. He enjoys reading, playing piano, and travelling. He is also a long-time geocacher.
